Our house is coming along thanks to Robert's amazing organizational skills and some great guys we have working for us. Thank you Joe, Roy, and Jeff! I love the lighting on this photo. The day started right around sun-up.

Here are the happy spectators.

Solomon's next basketball game is March 08 so I'll get some action photos up then. He's a master of unusual facial expressions. Check this out!

We're getting our cars ready for Pinewood Derby in March. I'm racing Black Mamba. I love my car in a way that is totally not healthy.
Abraham's car is still under construction. TOP SECRET! Come back to the blog in a couple of weeks to see it.

Abraham and I attended the Onizuka Science Day at UH-Hilo. Ellison Onizuka was a NASA astronaut who grew up on this island. He was killed in the Challenger Space Shuttle explosion in 1986. Astronautics is just one of many science things going on here. There's also a lot of work with vulcanism, astronomy, geothermal power, and robotics. Abraham got to go to a computer programming class and he learned about ancient Polynesian techniques for navigating the ocean. There were a lot of interactive displays and a visit from the astronaut with the most time logged in space -- 372 days!
My brother Ken visited this month. Here we are with Melody in Waimea at the Cherry Blossom Festival.
And here's snorkeling at Ahalanui Park. Well, getting ready to snorkel.

Today is Robert's mother's birthday. Happy birthday, Mom! She went holoholo (messing around) in Hilo and we'll celebrate tomorrow. Today is also Eliahs's birthday. Happy birthday to you, too!
Our nephew Randol came from Oahu to spend last weekend with us. He rented a red convertible Mustang. Abraham and Solomon very much approve of his taste in cars.
My brother Ken is here from the mainland. He's been staying mostly in Waimea with Melody but they came over for Solomon's basketball game on Monday. We're joining them in Waimea this weekend for Cherry Blossom Festival.
Solomon's basketball team is called the Ballistics. He played a great game Monday but they came up short. They won on Wednesday and he led the team in scoring. Solomon is attending Kea'au Middle School (go Green Waves!) and likes being around kids his age better than being around a mom my age.
Abraham is still doing home school AND he still likes me almost all of the time. I'm looking at school options for him for 2012-13.
